Dark secret is that they are Satan's servant. Flesh and blood.. Is what vampires desire. Will stay young forever... The etetnal life of being a vampire.... Dark hair soft skin forever beautiful... Like a virgin taken by a vampires spell. Angel... Aka angel of darkness aka vampire the fallen angel lucifer. Give it up to me is the asking for the soul. Do you wanna die iscaskimg if you want to live forever. Vampires are angels of darkness that only jesus could save. And possums are nocturnal like vampires... Kingdom being the vampire cult. He does this to scare her into having sex with him (or else). She does, and he then kills her anyway to make her "stay as beautiful forever". He feels that by killing them, they'll never get old enough to lose their looks, and he'll always remember them as they looked before he killed them. Now that's a pretty Dark secret.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09883722166625408860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1174426376042565766.post-11358542822703125992018-02-02T16:44:34.797-08:002018-02-02T16:44:34.797-08:00i know song came before movie but everytime i hear...i know song came before movie but everytime i hear this song it reminds me of Cabin by the Lake Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05192074613723012765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1174426376042565766.post-16194705213701202872017-08-20T02:29:51.505-07:002017-08-20T02:29:51.505-07:00I still swear this song is about a vampire, trying...I still swear this song is about a vampire, trying to lure a woman to be his eternal girl. "Walk with me"... "by my side"... "I'll not be a gentleman" (will suck her blood / give her immortality)... "I'll show you my dark secret" (he's a vampire)... "don't be afraid I didn't mean to scare you" (his appearance is creepy)... "I can promise you, you'll stay as beautiful, with dark hair, and soft skin, forever, forever" (he will give her eternal life at current age)... <br />He might be mocking religion, as to say, "God can't help you now", while he refers to Jesus... IDK. I don't think what I said is inconsistent with what you are saying -- I think you're just using different terminology. (BTW, I'm a classically trained pianist and took two full years of theory/harmony/composition is college. So I think I'm qualified to do a little simple rhythmic analysis here and there.) I have taught guitar, bass, drums and harmonica for over 6 years and have been a gigging musician for 13 years and I am on several albums with several different bands. Okay, now that my qualifications have been stated. The count of this song would be 7/4 time if your statement was correct (or possibly one 3/4 time measure and one 4/4 time measure), and it isn't. What it actually is, is 4 ct measures then an alternating addition of either a 1/4-note of time or a 1/2 note worth of time before repeating the phrase, assuming you're counting in the 100-120 bpm range with 1/4 notes. 2 cents from a musician. and yes it is an awesome song. stick to opinion articles, leave the music analysis to the musicians. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00512605195088442108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1174426376042565766.post-3024624822464741902012-10-23T01:24:04.976-07:002012-10-23T01:24:04.976-07:00 the best song of the 90s.... great review. the best song of the 90s.... great review.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13462830645152191926noreply@blogger.com
